This past Saturday (3.22.14) I had the opportunity to second shoot for/assist the wonderful Kristen Booth. I didn’t know quite what to expect but I’m always down for adventures, especially when photography and romance are involved.
As we arrived in La Jolla, Kristen’s GPS cheerfully announced, “Now entering L A Jolla” with the J pronounced as a J. We laughed and continued to refer to it as L A Jolla for the rest of the day. I had never been to La Jolla and I must say it was a super cute little town with a stunning beach. Gorgeous blue-green water rolling onto the golden shore, waves splashing against the rocks that were completely smooth from years of playing with the ocean…it was magical.
The rest of the wedding was so easy going and romantic, we didn’t even feel like we were working. And Marissa looked like she had just walked out of a fairytale. I mean, that dress!! Soooo gorgeous. Ugghh. Everything about this day made me want to relive my own wedding. Brian looked dapper as he stood with his back turned as his bride walked barefoot through the sand, tears streaming down her face. Watching the emotion between the family and Brian and Marissa was truly beautiful, I definitely got choked up a couple of times 🙂
I feel blessed to have been a part of this lovely day and truly wish Brian and Marissa much happiness and many adventures.
